Coco is a township located in the western sector of the Panama Province in the Republic of Panama is part of the populous district of La Chorrera, has a population of 19.603 inhabitants (2010),and is part of the urban complex called The great Resume, which in turn is part of the metropolitan area of Panama City. ==Creation== In 1909 for management promoted by Mayor Baldomero Gonzalez, by Decision No 11 of 14 November 1909 and was president of the Municipal Council Jose De La Rosa Veces was founded nine townships, among these is The Coconut Lagoon, then composed by Potrero Grande, La Doradilla, El Coco (header), El Espino, Cerro Negro and The Guayabo. In 1927, by resolution No. 10 of June 2 were established 12 districts, and appears a second time El Coco with the same name with a correction in their council areas as well: The Doradilla, Partridge, La Laguna, Black Hill, Potrero Grande Rapids and Avocado.
